    Hi All,

Well it's been two years since I stopped my Master's journey. Got my Postgraduate Diploma in Technology Management but I deferred my last module as I didn't enjoy it :(

Anyway, with renewed energy I started up my studies again... However this time, I decided to go for the MA Open from the OU as I found a module that sounded great and relates to both jobs I do: The H880 Technology-enhanced learning: foundations and futures. So far I'm 4 weeks in and liking it. Hopefully I'll enjoy this and pass - wish me luck :)

HI Ken, well done looking to finish it. I know loads of people who've gone down the open route as just like you, they've found a subject so not for them, they just can't get into it. An MA is an MA, all anyone will care about are those letters after your name, should you choose to use them :)

Oh question, do any of you use BA, BSc, MA,pHD after their name? Must admit I've never used my BSc, pHD I see a bit

Funny thing is that I only use it on Linkedin, mainly because it's a professional networking site... Depending on the type of job I go for will depend on whether I actually use my post-nominals (eg IT no, lecturing yes).

Can't remember who but I was actually told that if you do all the qualifications at the same place you only list your highest qualification you got there. But if you do it at all different places then it's ok to list all... Go figure...

I don't use mine to be fair but there are a lot of people in my place, who feel the need to use random extra letters of the alphabet after their name

Interesting guys, I can see the logic of just using your highest degree although I think you can do a masters without a degree if you've got the relevant experience, is that right? I think you may also be able to do a pHD straight from a degree if you're bad a$$ enough, is that true?

Ditto Ken I'd mention my BSc on LinkedIn and CV but not on anything else. I'm very proud of it, I just think many don't bother do they. Masters I might consider it. One day I'd like to do my masters just for me. The degree ceremonies are a pleasure and a great experience aren't they. I'll never forget mine. On stage in front of thousands getting theirs. A great life experience IMHO
