Got myself an interview on Weds, Junior Reports Analyst / Support Developer. Need experience of MS SQL Reporting Services (yes-ish, can anyone elaborate on that for me?). The desire to strengthen your own programming skills (oh yes!), and any previous Delphi experience would be an advantage (err, no.)

Rather bizarrely, it's at a company I temped at for 6-8 weeks a few months ago.

Oh, and can anyone tell me why, when I stopped properly looking for jobs 4 months ago, I'm now getting 2-3 calls a week from people seeing my CV on websites?

Got the contract etc through today, looking at starting 5th September. Got to give notice in at work tomorrow.

They've changed the job spec slightly (they said it might happen) so i'm being hired as an 'IT Support Agent', and will be working with the network manager. Can't wait!

Quick update, been in the job 4 months now & loving it!
I cannot believe how much I've learnt in that time, thought I knew a lot about computers before I started but was totally blown away by working in a proper IT environment.

Was pretty nervous when I started but after seeing this on the side of the LAN cabinet 10 minutes into my first day, I got the feeling that everything was going to be ok...

 

You're obviously made for this place.
