Sorry for being away so long, guys... I took an unscheduled vacation in early April and spent the next six weeks trying to keep my CCIE R&S project on plan. When that was done, we got a new writer on staff, and I've been training him up in the Ways of the Force. Sorta hard to post when I've got a n00b in my office!

In any case, I'm VERY glad to be back. Missed you guys a bunch!

I haven't scanned through the 8,114 new posts... what'd I miss? Anything exciting?

What's new here... hmm... obviously, the CCIE is done and out the door, as well as a couple other products... we'll need testers soon for that. Now to wade through all the previous tester comments...

Karen, my wife, has discovered Facebook and blogging. She's really getting a kick out of it - particularly the blogging, as it helps her newly chosen writing career. Even better - one of her stories has been selected to be published!!! A 2,000 word story... and at a quarter-cent a word... she's made a whopping $6. WOOHOOO!!!

I sold some old boardgames and collectible cards and ended up getting about $300 in new board games in trade. So several of us here at Boson have started gaming at lunchtime. Keeps me from eating out all the time, as I bring my lunch in and eat it while playing. Hayden also plays them with me... he's pretty smart for a 6-year-old.

I think Hayden and Brandon are done with baseball... they're just not into it this summer. Hayden tried soccer (football) last year, and it didn't thrill him any... which is unfortunate, because I had a blast helping coach it. He might try out for a swim team next year. Until then, it seems that he and Bran have chosen to train as professional computer game players. Like father, like sons, I guess...

I've started teaching 2nd graders at church - my son's class, in fact. Just started last week - we'll see how it goes.

That's about all the "new stuff" from this end. I'll try to stay on top of things, now that I'm back on schedule.

Computer games aint a bad thing, it beats the kids doing nothing and getting into trouble.

 

My chances for undercover agent work largely disappeared about 12 years ago when I got out of Army Intelligence.

I searched for BosonMichael and only got a half-dozen hits, including the "Where is MichaelBoson" thread... wanted to make sure I caught everything I absolutely had to.

Well, I never planned to go AWOL... one more day became one more day and one more day and one more day. Next thing I knew, it was a month... then two... as one new task stepped in front of another! Things finally cleared up... so here I am!
