...How many of you are at work during the period between Christmas and new year?

I think we got it right - the roads are quiet (quickest journey to work ever and was sooo tempted to try out a hand brake turn in our car park this am, but resisted!) and work is quite quiet too...plus we might just get to go home early or have a long lunch too :biggrin

I'm in just for today. Quickest i've got to work ever!!

There's only a couple of other bods in the office and when they go I can go. Hopefully not long after lunch.

However, i'm in the process of building 2 machines that have to be ready for the 2nd January and today is the only chance i'll get to do it, so I can't go until they're ready!

I'm at work as well - easy journey - but I *do* have work to do. One of the systems I built recently started giving errors over Christmas, so I have to investigate.

    I'm working through. Doh.

I'm / we are working on a very technical project at the moment......

Trying to hook up a Nintendo Wii to the projector in the board room!!

If we can pull it off we probably won't be going home all week!

Heh - wish we were involved in your project!! Still - can't complain - the few customers I have spoken to are in festive moods and I get to listen to my Ministry of sound annual 2007 and, gwen and read - the only thing is our cafe is shut and no-one has brought in any food!

I've actually got work to do as well now, so things are looking up!

I tried getting a Wii, couldnt get one, you'll have to tell me if its worth the 170 quid

Yep, also in work over Christmas and new year, doesn’t bother me at all. The other two lads in the team have wives and kids so they take the time off, so it works out for everyone.

If I was at home now the missus would be dragging me round the sales or seeing relatives… hmmm I know what I would rather do!

Just basics stuff for these few days, checking and editing backup schedules and obviously resetting peoples passwords when they forget after a few boozed up days! Main work that I have set myself this week is server housekeeping and I have a few citrix installs to perform.

I like the piece and quiet though, and as most of you have said the journey in was bliss!

I'm working this week. It's relatively quiet due to the number of people out on vacation. However, the IT director's out, so I'm in charge.

Been "working" at home today studying for next exam. No such luxury next week though, starting the next project straight off on Jan 2nd.....
