... and passed with flying colours :D:p 1000/1000 (luckly yesterday i performed some of the things asked in work the day before lol) some lab details below

I want to post my virtual lab up but not sure i have time as im flying out to Hong Kong today :D

    Lab:

    4 x Win 2003 (Comp 1 to 4)
    2 x XP (xp1 - 2)

Each entry is a network card:

    Bridges(my live network 10.0.0.0/8) - comp1, xpclient2

    Lan1(10.0.1.0/24) - comp1, 2, 3

    Lan 2(10.0.2.0/24) - comp2, 4

    Lan 3(10.0.3.0/24) - comp4, xpclient2

    moo.local domain

Comp1 - RRAS (NAT, firewall, VPN remote access, static routes and RIPv2), DHCP (scope1 (80/20)), DC, DNS (AD,stubzone(xiao.moo.local), IPSEC

Comp2 - RRAS (Static Routes and RIPv2, demand dial (to comp4), DHCP Relay agent), DHCP (superscope (scope1 80/20, scope 2 for 10.0.3.0 subnet), DNS (AD zone, secondary zone for xiao.moo.local), Dc

Comp3 - DHCP for failover, IAS for comp1 - something else i cant remember

xpclient1 - used for dialing for testing remote access settings and profiles etc....

    xiao.moo.local

comp4 - DC, RAS (connect to comp2), DNS(AD zone xiao.moo.local, conditional forwarder for comp2(moo.local) and one for internet), IPSec

xpclient2 - connected to comp4 for testing DHCP relay agent and it got a ip from 10.0.3.0 scope :), random IPSEC and some vpn stuff for testing

Used L2TP and PPTP for different bits for everything.

all zones et to replicate to DNS servers in Domain.

Would put more detail but i have a lack of time and if did it when i got back i would forget to post it lol I may make a diagram if i remember when i get back.

Study time: 3 weeks, although past knowledge, 8 - 10 hours per weekend day (mainly vm lab work), min 4 hours a weekday, lots of coffee, lots of hob nobs, nagging cat....

Extra for DNS: Block facebook.com without a proxy with a redirect page (work is too cheap for a proxy.... was good practice though), block MSNMessenger with GPO only.

Thanks all!!! Its 11:52am singapore time :) and a damn lot hotter than the uk.

I will make my lab diagram, if i remember correctly dales you have your 70-291. Did you fix your IPSec situation?

The next exam is exchange 2003 70-284 but that will take a little longer as i want to make my esxi lab at the same time. So probably 4 - 6 weeks.

yes fixed it thanks relalised that on the domain I was applying ipsec to, the only client was an un sp'd 2k client so didnt have the high encryption pack installed, hence it had no idea what my servers were sending when I enabled ipsec. tis working perfectly on one of my other domains all hosted on my ESXI box.

Dont foget the sc440 offer runs out the end of this month (although they have downgraded the spec) and I believe the hp ml115's are at a decent price again on servers direct.
