Since I first saw the device I wanted one so I was delighted to get one yesterday! So glad I chose to go against the grain and ditch the almighty fruit related organization! Any other Zune owners here?

By the way, if you haven't seen a Zune HD for yourself, believe the hype, that OLED screen really is amazing.

    LOVE IT!

I'm perfectly happy with my $20 Creative Zen V 2 GB. :biggrin Can't run with a disk-based player!

True true! I do have an iPod Shuffle for running purposes. That I don't mind because I don't care which order the tracks are in plus I can use Sharepod to manage it. Not an iTunes fan at all to be honest.

I love the Zune software though, I find it far easier to use than iTunes. It would of course be perfect if Sharepod or similar was Zune friendly but in a battle of Zune vs iPod software I much prefer the Zune.

But again, that OLED screen, my goodness it looks good! :biggrin

Amen brother. Creative Zen FTW. Always hated media managers - I tag all my stuff properly by hand and don't let library software f*** with it. Nothing winds me up more than badly-tagged music files :x

I have to hold my hands up at that and say you are bang on the money for simplicity when using the Zen. Although I do like the Zune software for managing music/video and podcasts.

Actually I really like the podcast managment in the Zune software as opposed to iTunes. It might not be a useful feature to many, but I listen to a lot of podcasts almost daily so it's good to have those. The video podcasts also look especially great on the Zune HD. :)

Ah, I see! Still, no reason to upgrade when my $20 Zen works just fine. :)

Edit: Dude! That thing is huge! Can't run with a brick-sized player! :p

Okay, okay, I exaggerate... but 4 inches is quite a bit longer than 2.5 inches when you're running.

I had a 1st Generation Nomad HDD based Mp3 player, very snazzy
I also had the first Creative Nomad Zen
rock solid, loved it, kept it for years, till it finally succumbed to being strapped to me in the rain and bit the dust
I took the HDD out and used it in a 2.5" enclosure heh

I bought the new Zen at the time, the thing sucked ass
the interface was crap, the battery couldnt get me across the atlantic on a charge, I was livid

I finally gave up on creative and got an iPod back in 06
iTunes sucks sure, but my music is already tagged perfectly, and in all fairness I barely use the damn thing, I plug it in, hit sync, and unplug it, thats it, its not rocket science adding a new album i've got, I still rip with CDex anyway

Creative soured me with the last couple of years of Zen crap, Apple have so far impressed me (outside of itunes, and the 3.1 iphone shambles)
