Well as usual with all the warnings, the Great British weather has ground the roads to a halt again.

A 30 mile, 40 minute trip to work took me 1 and a half hours this morning coz of the traffic. I've already told the boss that if it starts snowing again, I'm off home.

Still the fields look nice. :D

I got half way to work, and got a message that the kids were being sent home, turn round and go back - Christmas holidays have started a day early :)

I made it into the office but many others haven't, we're putting our remote working kit to the full test today!

With severe weather warnings for the past few days it amazes me how much chaos this has caused. I'm fairly certain our local council haven't sent out any gritters at all in the last few days, or they've deployed them all at their offices....

3" of snow here, we've sent the kids home but us we're still here working. It's not too bad and it's a nice quiet day to ease us into the holidays (ok I'm in on the 21st & 30th, but it's still the holidays) :)

Oh shut it Nugg, you have no idea, things only work in England, especially the big cities, if the roads are clear. The slightest additional problem will bring the whole system to a halt. Too many people, in too small a space.

Was doing my driving lessons in it last night. Got an 8 hour drive to bruge tonight at 4pm, need to be at Dover for midnight. Should be interesting.

Only a sprinkle up here in Manchester though.

Had about 2 to 3 inches here. car was frozen over, but 20mins of de-icing and i got into work. Even made it on time! Everyone else was late ;(

Both kids schools have closed, thinkits because teachers thought it a good excuse to finish a day early.

I even went jogging in the snowfall last night witha friend. Was only cold when going into the wind and the snow was in your face.

No snow here in Nottingham. It is very rare for it ever to settle here. I assume it is the river of pink slime that runs under the city that keeps the streets warm!

I had it up my way, the biggest issue is ice at the moment.

According to the amzing MET office I should get some more today and heavey snow on Monday which should be fun. Driving a rear wheel car in snow isn't for the faint hearted :D
