For those that are Microsoft Live Skydrive users, you can upgrade for free (from 7gb to 25gb) for a limited time offer (currently it is 25gb, but it's going to be reduced to 7gb as it's been "revamped").

You can read about it here or alternatively log on to your live account and activate it online.

Should we keep a count of how much extra space MS have given us all due to this thread? So far it's 7 x 18Gb = 126Gb :)

just cancelled my 63GB ($9.99 per month) dropbox account in favor of skydrive 57GB (£16 per year)
The ability to access any file on my home computer at work is also a bonus.
The only thing thats a tad disappointing is the file size limit on skydrive is 2GB. I have some ISO's that are around 4GB which I used to keep in dropbox but will now just have to leave them on my home PC and access them remotely when I need em...

Still for the price it aint bad!

The first thing I did was to check if there was an andriod skydrive app, theres no app so I'll stick with dropbox and box.net for portable tings! :)

Biggest thing missing that makes it a no go for me, for work usage, is no public link available to copy/paste on a right click. This is by far the easiest method of transporting utilities etc to clients that I've got open in remote sessions, and for sharing to other techs.

For personal use on the iPad, yeah, Skydrive will work and with 25GB will hold far more resources to open remotely.

Looks like I'll be using both, oh and abusing G-Drives 7GB when it's available, nothing like 34BG of free cloud sync I guess :)
