At what layer does SHTTP reside? I have not been able to find any reference to its position with reference to the OSI stack.

I believe that it resides on the 5/6 layers (session/presentation). Any ideas anyone?

And for those who think it is the same as HTTPS, let me tell you that it is not and does not live in the application layer.

That is correct, SHTTP resides at the application layer, layer 7.

This is the list I used to learn most of my N+ protocols and their respective positions in the OSI model...http://www.protocols.com/pbook/tcpip1.htm

Great, thanks. This was discussed in our CEH class today and the tutor was also of the opinion that it was in layer 5/6 but we could not find any proper link anywhere to confirm it.

    Good link. Thanks
