I searched around a bit and didn't find a thread that was similar to this...unless I completely missed it. Please post pics of your labs. I'm just curious as to how the set up looks. Unfortunately, I don't have any equipment as of right now

They're really not that sexy... just a stack of routers in a rack, with cables connecting one router to another...

 

Have to agree with BM - they're not the prettiest of things.

Just use Google Image search and type "cisco lab" - it brings up loads of pics for you and they're not all big datacentres either

 

Since I'm lucky to have work cover lab gear, I have a lot of stuff available to me in the real shared lab. Stuff from 871's to 7600's; from 2950's to 3750 and 6500's as well - I'll admit, it's pretty sweet.

Since the lab is shared I've built a small lab at my desk using mostly unwanted / forgotten gear. So here's a description of what I keep at my desk.

Some are old and End-of-Support but still do what I need of them:
2x 3640
2x 7200 NE 100
2x 7200 NE 400
5x 871's (way too many)
2x 2950's
5x 3560's (way too many)
1x 3750

- You know, now that I list it all out, it's amazing that my desk isn't cluttered!

 

Yeah, I know. I was just curious as to the set ups the members on this forum have. But, thinking about it now, they are all probably similar minus anyone who has some kind of special housing.

 

I painted mine gold for instance!

That'd be a health & safety issue. From memory, you always have to leave a little bit of skin unpainted...
