    Hi all

I'd really like to get hold of some good practice tests before tackling the MOSS config exam.

Transcender and Self Test Software both seem to do tests for this exam, although I notice they are owned by the same company, with similar looking web sites - so are the tests the same? Self Test is 50 USD cheaper though.

Can anyone recommend either of these, or any other companies?

I should hope it goes without saying that I'm not after any of the brain dump style things!

When I worked for them in 2005, the Transcender product had 10% more questions (and 20% more flash cards) than the Self Test product. Otherwise, the two products were exactly the same. I am not sure whether this practice continues today, but I suspect so.

Can I recommend them? Well... I left Transcender/Self Test because I was disappointed at the new management's lack of attention to quality. However, you're not likely to find anything better; I don't believe Boson has any practice exam products for 70-630.

Well, I really want to pass this one first time and I wanted some practice exams so I picked up the Transcender product...

It's okay, but I wouldn't give it top marks by any means. I just finished taking one of the "Preset" exams (intended to be like a real exam) and I reviewed all the questions and explanations after completing the test. Some of the explanations are really good but some are really vague (i.e. this answer is wrong, this answer is right, but with little explanation at all). It gives the impression that some of the questions were put together at the last minute to fill the product up sufficiently.

There were a couple of questions with silly spelling mistakes (the smigrate.exe tool was referred to as simgrate.exe in a few questions suggesting it wasn't just a typo), a couple with pretty bad examples of how to construct sentences and a couple whose answers I just don't agree with, even after checking things out on my SharePoint system.
