    God rest the soul of John Peel - an innovative legend in British broadcasting.

    There's too much that others will say so much better than I can, so I will say I will remember him forever and leave it at that.

    I just heard this on the radio in the car on the way back from my mothers house. John was indeed an exceptionally talented presenter and I for one will miss his vioce on the radio. RIP.

    A sad day.I, my bro especially, and many other's will really:!: miss his unique voice on the radio.He was too young to go, for sure.

    Echo everyone else. He was at the forefront of broadcasting. His outspoken thoughts will be certainly missed.

    Not everyones favourite - but he was a cool guy. Went his own way and spoke out about the music he believed in and liked.

    Great to see the New Bands Stage to be named after him at Glastonbury from next year. Michael Eavis announced it the same day.
