    Hi all,

I have been given the job of checking some of our machines to find out the details of the ram they have and then work out an upgrade plan.

    I need to find out:

    1)How much ram
2)How many sticks of ram per pc
    3)Speed/type of ram e.g. pc133 sdram

Obviously number 1 above is easy to find out. Numbers 2 and 3 are the main things.

Does anyone know of a software program that can tell me this rather than me physically taking the lids of the boxes to find out?

    Thanks

You could try using the Belarc Advisor this should help.

If you want to know what type of memory you will need to buy to upgrade try http://www.crucial.com.

Everest is also a good one. It can be found here. The home edition is free but you have to pay for the other versions.
