I have a laptop as my lab, with 2 x Server 2003 Enterprise Edition, 2 x XP Clients, 2 x Vista Clients using MS Virtual PC.

Pretty soon, I will be dumping the Vista Clients to install and work with Exchange 2003 and keeping the rest.

But as for hardware racks, swiches and routers, none required at the moment until I move onto the CCNA :D

I picked up a good rack from a company on E-Bay, I think it's called a Skeletek or something along those lines. Pretty cheap compared to others I was looking at. It's also modular so you can add extra racks to it when your lab grows.

I'll see if I can find a link.

    Very nice.

I'm having visions of the big one on the left in my spare room. I think the missus would have a fit though.

    Are they pricey ?

Not too bad, I thought they would be more expensive. Maybe time for an upgrade.

I've used Lindy stuff with some small/home office setups for customers.

They do stuff that can wall mount too like this as well as stuff down to 4U in size.

Floor cabinets start at 15U here

Worth having a browse around their site
