Question about the 290

So uh, I just finished Chapter 3 Lesson 2 in the MS Press training book.
And it told me to go read the VBScript book that came on the CD... That book's a good 366 pages...
My question is should I be reading this now? Or after I read the entire MS book?
Is there any change I don't have to read this at all?

Huh! recently used the MS press book to prepare and passed this exam, don't think it requires you to read that much of VBScript.

I would think having an understanding and to be able to interpret a VBScript would be okay for this exam. Best wishes
