Hi guys been reading the board and I finally made the decision to get certified. I am not it but always managed to fix my pc and of friends. I am studying now but would like to get a idea about the test. Is the test very detailed: do i have to spend lots of time learning the fine details?

Have a look on the A+ site over on the CompTIA website or have a look at some of the training material by Professor Messor on YouTube

Hey jimmybme, I wouldn't say that it is very detailed, but, before you take it make sure you have studied everything and use all the resources you can. The questions you think will be on there just may or may not. In a nutshell take your time it will benefit in the end. It took me 3 times to pass the 802 and 1 time for the 801. Hope this helps.
