Do any of you have any drones that you play with, I have a couple, mostly internal stuff but I had kept an eye on the Parrot Disco and discovered that as Parrot have stopped making it the price has fallen out of it, it used to cost over £1100 but can now be had for £350, I picked one up the other week but as I was out of the country for the decent weather I haven't manage to fly it yet.

Looking forward to when it's going to be nice weather again so that I can take it for a spin :)

Before I got into quads my friends had purchased me a largish remote controlled helicopter for my 40th, trying it out in my garden my young son kept pestering me to have a go (this was bigger than him), I was keen not to but you know the looks that wives give, well she gave me one. Needless to say it didn't go wrong, my suggestion of small movements were completely ignored and up it shot before it came crashing down... into the neighbours lovely flat lawn, embedding itself into the turf and breaking all sorts of things.

Let's just say, my wife doesn't give me that look any more, it cost me a new helicopter (too much bent) and a small quad for him to play with.

It's incredibly hard to get used to isn't it. I'd recommend people buy a cheap one first to see how they go, sure some will be a natural. It's really interesting to see how they develop and also how the laws are changing to fit around these sorts of technologies. I find laws and technology quite interesting, how it's having to change to keep up with the pace of technology

I have been flying on and off for a couple of years now, still no where near good enough, I would love to just go on an intensive course and learn properly really.
