sorry again, will do that in future, also Cheek would you really pay £900 for a graphics card? before looking at the answers i would have said create a restore point and then procede. I enjoy your questions and find them helpful in identifying weak spots in my studies.

The trick here is to consider what the best possible answer is of those given. TCM is doing a great job of making things similar in style to the real exam - and this is how they ask questions there.

    Q1.

Which command do i use to repair the master boot record?

    a. FDISK/MBR
    b. FORMAT/MBR
    c. REPAIR/MBR
    d. DEL/MBR

As Pete has mentioned, should be FDISK /MBR (note the space, my bad)

To repair the MBR, use FDISK/MBR in DOS. If you cannot boot into DOS normally, use a start up disk and run the command from there.

    Q2.

I want to change my file system from FAT to NTFS, what do I use?

    a. CONVERT
    b. AMEND
    c. MIGRATE
    d. CHANGE

You have to use the Convert command -> CONVERT C*: /FS:NTFS *assuming C is the drive you want to convert

    Q3.

I just installed my well known £900 graphics card, when i try and install the drivers, to my horror, i recieve a message stating that the driver is not digitally signed, what should i do?

    a. Ask for a refund on the Graphic Card
    b. Ignore the message and continue
    c. Keep the Windows generic driver
    d. Browse the manufacturers site for a digitally signed driver

I would actually do this, MM has mentioned this in his book aswell becuase as long as you trust the manufacturer and is well known, then you should continue and install the driver. Digitall Signed drivers are where the vendor has paid M$ to verify this driver will work under the M$ OS.

    Am i correct?,

but if you chose D, then that could be right aswell...

Now this is interesting, as I will like to have your reasons as to why your answer differs to mine...

btw: Well done you guys for contributing...

    on another matter:

err Harry, thats probably cuz they way i write, it can be at most times confusing

the only reason i answered D to the last was one was because im glued into the *MS way* so according to 70-270 study material... you browse the website till you find a driver or like MS put it... contact the manufacturer... i the real world if i know the driver is made for XP i just continue...
