Does anyone know of a program that i can use to verify my data.

Ive basically setup a RAID5 array and ive copied all my music, films etc across to the array. Are there any programs i could use to confirm that the copy is the same as the original just incase it has became corrupt when ive copied across my network, or will vista have done this for me? Cheers

Personally I'd just use Robocopy with the /MIR switch. That will run a comparison on the source and destination directory and 're-copy' any files that are different. You could get a file diff utility that will do the same thing, but they're usually slower and, for bulk jobs, not as effective.

    Hi

I've been using Beyond Compare for something similar at work recently. It compares two folders, and their contents, and uses colour coding to show any differences.

    Hope this helps
