    Hi,

I've only got the client exam to complete my MCSE 2003 and am planning to do 70-680 Configuring Windows 7. This is so that I have the latest client cert and also one less exam for the upgrade to Windows 2008 EA.

So far I have the Microsoft Test Prep Kit for 70-680 but have been hearing not so glowing reviews. I'm also thinking of subscribing to CBT Nuggets, however was wondering if there are better CBTs for this particular exam? I'm planning to start perparing in June so any suggestions and tips will be welcome.

    Thanks!

Thanks greenbrucelee! You're the man! How would you rate this against CBT Nuggets? I liked using CBT Nuggets but I hear the videos for this particular exam isn't all that great.

I personally found the nuggets quite good to be fair. IIRC it's a James Conrad one and he explains the content really well. Presumably you're reading the MS Press book as WELL right?

I think it's the bald head and the humour that does it. :p

I like the subnetting video where he screws it up, looks really pissed off then starts talking about something else.

Yes, the CBT is to give me an overall and for me to go back if I need to refresh or clarify something. I will be hitting the book after the CBT is done.

My advice is to them both together as he generally follows the outline of the MS Press books. You can watch the relevant videos and then read/study the chapters in the book.

I'm glad to say that I passed my 70-680 today! :D I scored 839 but quite frankly I thought I was going to fail this exam at about half-way through it. I was quite confident at first blazing through the questions, then came the wierd bits, the odd ones which I don't re-call being covered well in the books etc. But if you have practical experiance with Windows 7 you will be able to figure out the answers. I had 65 questions, but plenty of time - 2:40 so make use of it by checking and reviewing the questions & answers.

I'm elated as this exam completes my MCSE 2003 :) I'm going to give it a break and start on the two upgrade exams for Windows 2008 EA in Setpember. I also want to do my Security+ to achieve the Security specialisation for my MCSE. Thankyou all for your tips and suggestions!
