I've been a lifelong Hammers fan since the days of Bobby Moore :biggrin but we're looking a bit ropey this season

Right then, lets get the ball rolling, my £10 bet today has gone on the following...

Arsenal to beat Aston Vanilla at home
Man Utd to beat Stoke at home
Chelsea to beat West Brom away
Birmingham to beat Charlton at home
Leeds to beat Huddersfield at home
Rangers to beat St Mirran at home

Ok, so its not just the Premier League, but I can see it coming in or coming close... what you think?

The interesting games for me today are Bolton vs Liverpool, cant see it being easy for Liverpool, Bolton will make it hard for them and after two beatings from Spurs how will Liverpool cope! Steered well clear of them for todays bet.

Other game is Fulham vs Spurs, im hoping Magic Harry can continue with the best start for a spurs manager for over 100 years!! :D

Arsenal's XI have been ropey this season. I know Aston Villa have had a stutter of form, but the support at Villa Park is strong - I'd have this down as a 1-1.

The only other one I'd be cautious about is Birmingham. They've been riding some good form, but I think the loss against Cov knocked at least a little of the wind out of their sales.

I'm just on Ladbrokes now. I often place £1 bets on long-odd scores / first scorer.

EDIT: just put a little 'un on 1 - 1, Fabregas to score first. The little bleeder had better be playing :)

Best one I had was a 45 - 1 on a Reading game last season. Trouble is, when they come off, you end up wishing you'd bet more! But betting more over a longer period would be suicidal. lol.

Only come on here to post as a short break from the Liverpool vs Bolton match - should be an interesting one.

Arsenal have been abit suspect this season, I just keep backing Aston Villa to do well and lately they have disappointed me. If both teams play their top games, Arsenal to win, but with the way they've both been playing of late, I have agree its a dodgy one and the draw may of been the safer bet! Argh. We'll soon see. :)

Can I hijack this thread slightly and rather than start a new thread add La Liga discussion to this thread? I know a couple of die hard Spanish league fanatics are lurking somewhere on this forum! :biggrin

I retract my previous statements... I thought the Villa were at home. Villa playing at the Emirates may well be an entirely different kettle of fish...

It was still different... they won, there wasn't a draw! lol.

Nah I honestly thought it had a draw written all over it, from the way the two teams have been playing. Luckily for my other half's mood (being a Villa fan and all) they got all 3 points. Only Utd next - top four here they come. lol.

The title of the thread is Premier League. You want NFL, start a different thread, otherwise this could get confusing :biggrin

(have been enjoying watching the Titans though!)

Can you watch the Titans there?!? Wow, excellent! I love my Titans... I'll have to dress up in my Titans gear and take a pic. :)

Only now I have Sky Sports and Setanta :)

    Now, back on topic...

does anyone think Man City are going to scrape themselves back into form today?

It's being rumoured Mark Hughes is 'under pressure' and whilst critics are saying he should be given time, if the new investors are anything like the way Abramovich was (is) then I bet he doesn't get it. And if he doesn't it's a shame, as alongside Roy Keane he's a very talented young manager.

aah you've made my day ! I'm only a year older than him :p

Seriously tho' I do think he'll get a bit more time and they seem keen to be active in the transfer window in January. I wouldn't like to say he'll get until the end of the season tho' if he can't start to turn things around. They're a bit unbalanced and perhaps have some deadwood to get rid of.

Well my bet went out the window! Leeds lost 2-1 at home to Huddersfield, shocking!

Although I must say, I happily lost my £10 - seeing Arsenal lose again at home, just made my weekend!

(Apologies to any Arsenal supporters on the forum, haha)

    :biggrin

Unfortunately, our top scorer this season (Spurs keeper, Gomes) cost us another point minimum, I could think of a few ways of spending £8 Million, but there you go!

I still haven't seen his 'goal' yesterday, but apparently it's the worst / best clanger ever.

£8 million of comedy value. They'll have him signed up for Comic Relief
