Tried lots of things and still no luck. How important is it that I download this update? would it really do any harm if I just left it?

IIRC and it's been a few years since I used ZA on a regular basis, truevector is part of ZA itself.

If you have a broadband internet connection physically disconnect your computer from the internet, shut down everything to do with ZA and then install your patch. Then fire ZA back up and reconnect to the internet. That should do it for you.

Freeloader - Thanks for the tip. However I already tried that last night to no avail. Also tried in safemode

SimonV - That didnt work either, and I already tried to close it from msconfig to no avail. Im slightly baffled by this. Any other suggestions? Thanks anyway

I suppose the only other way will be to start up in safemode with networking. Ensure that everything to do with ZA is not running and then try the update.

Either that or uninstall ZA and then re-install and ten try the updates

Actually, I had the same idea AJ. Tracking down the trouble might be more of a hassle than it's worth. Better to blow away ZA and do a reinstall then upgrade.
