The event took place yesterday (on Mitzs Birthday!) I will try and post some pictures when I get the photo's developed.

It was hard swim this year with not only the temperature of the sea being 14 Celsius (Which is pretty cold considering a swimming pool is 25 Celsius) also the tide was against us.

One Thousand and two hundred and three people attended the event and the British Heart Foundation estimated that they managed to raise £80'000 this year!

I came 102 and swam 1.4 miles in 38 miinutes.

unfortunately my card got swallowed at the weekend so I have to get a new one, hopefully I will be able to donate when I get it, the bank recon I wont get untill early next week. If it's still not open then will there be another way to donate?

Don't wory about it GBL, I'm not asking for more donations, anyway, this thread was just to say Thankyou! I reached the Target I wanted to get for sponsorship, I got a medal and back ache for doing too much Breast Stroke in the sea! - Ouch!

Next year I hope to start my first Triathlon.

 

I do have a debit card now and I have the account number etc but it got swallowed so I wouldn't want to try and make a payment incase the bank get suspicious. If I don't get you sponsored by the time it closes I'll double your sponsor next time

How's the studying going?

 

slow, I just dont seem to have much time, I am always at work.

I have nearly finished the Groth book then it'l be on to the Meyers book. Hopefully I am look at the end of September for the exam.

 

Well done mate I know it's hard and seems impossible when your motivation is down or you loose sight of your goals, but I am sure you will do it! What about the job? Did you get that job in IT?

 

I was working in IT dept for a while along side my main job, but after the network testing etc, they said my position wasn't reuired anymore. Basically they wanted me to do all the little jobs they hadn't got around to, although they said they'll keep me in mind if something comes up.

 

That sucks!

Since you did them a favour, surely they could do youa favour by letting you do some work experience or voluntary work with them???
