Password on Guest account

    I am using the MS Press self paced kit for my 270 studies :)
    I find it very good.

    an exam tip in the user account section is;

    Allow guest access only in low security workgroups, and always assign a password.

    Is it me, or is there no facility to add a password?? :blink

    right click my computer , click manage, then click users and groups , find the guest account, right click then select set password.... :biggrin

    it depends on what OS you are using and in what environment boyce , in a domain you can assign a password to the guest account.

    As you say it must be domain only. See pic from a workgroup computer running SP2;

    if your workstation is in a domain i think only in AD can you set the guest password but on the local account you do it like i said ealier.. i just tried just to make sure and i can do it on a normal stand alone win xp pro machine...

    might help if i right click users not group. :oops:
