    Hi all,

I know I don't post here much but I do visit as often as poss! Anyway I thought I'd let you know that today I received my ITIL Foundation Cert with pass letter - I managed 31/40! Not bad seeing as I got 25 for mock 1 and 20 for mock 2:oops:

The main thing is that I pulled thru when it really mattered, even though I'm not keen on this service management stuff I'm still glad I passed. If I hadn't I would have been ripped into by work collegues for months to come!

Anyway, it was a 3 day course paid for by my work (County Council) and the exam on the 3rd day, all hosted by Fox-IT!

Now time to get this fricken MCSE done!!!!

    Cheers

    Drum

Just noticed that I'm a "valued member"...thanks for that :) But how does one become that; is it an automated process?

    w00t!

    Congratumalations!

I passed it a couple of months ago - it was MUCH harder than I'd expected (largely because it was SOOOOOO dull!)

My work not only make us send off for the stupid little badge, but the metal plaque thingy as well. luckily, they pay for it - otherwise I'd have told them tae dae one...

Cheers guys - yeah I'm gonna have to start contributing again as I stopped studying when I stopped visiting this site...So I reckon it's now the time to get involved again!

Plus I'm getting the old itchy feet again - my current job just ain't paying me enough, I need to start chasing the Yankee Dollar again - I'm getting too lazy in Local Authority employment. Don't get me wrong though I'm glad I've got a job and I understand that they're peeps that'll read this and look at me as being ungrateful - but seriously once you're on the employment ladder you do have the luxary of being able to look ahead to better challenges with higher pay etc...Gav and others are well aware of my past unemployment woes and agency woes...so yeah I have been there!

However the great thing is that my current employee is educating me and basically setting me up for future oppurtunities...so maybe it ain't all about money - there I go again; confusing myself!!! Damn

    Speak to y'all laterz

You have to look at the education they are giving you as bonuses drum. How much would it cost you coming out of your own pocket? Think twice before you leap, specially since your wanting to get back to studying. Not all compainies do that. Maybe you could ask for a raise, since you are passing your test? Or see if they will pay for study material and a cert test you want to take. It can't hurt to ask. All they can do is say no.

    Thanks for your advice Mitzs...

To be honest I'm perhaps now on the limit of what I can get out of them. I'm still entitled to 2 MCP exams - once I get the W2K MCSE sorted I'll use the 2 MCPs for the 2003 upgrade...I won't be leaping just yet though - March 07 is the 2 year mark, after that date I'll be on the look out...I know money isn't everything; however, an extra 5k would mean a lot...
