Hey all, i took and passed the CompTIA IT Project+ yesterday....

Woo!

It was a good read and the whole course was fairly interesting. I thought how hard could project management be, but it learnt alot!

I'd say if you want to study for this cert dont use just this book as one or two of the exam questions werent covered in the book, use two sources, but i still knew enough to pass.....

nice one matt, this is one of my proposed exams on my cert roadmap, it will likely move into the defiante track in the near future as multi honed network admins become a requirement (more more skills comes more responsiblity and more money!)

I'm a tech at heart, love technology etc, but i'm also a people person. I dont mind spending all day being a tech, but i love people management and the feeling of "pulling it all together".

Also i see that project managers and managers get paid a bundle, and as i'm never gonna be tech superstar i figured thats the way to go !

Going to do a wireless cert as i feel wirless is up and coming, and also in september i'm starting a team leading certificate. I may also persue another project management cert such as PRINCE II which i see mentioned alot in advertisments.

The next step is to actually find a higher paid job!

I may even do a open uni business degree.....mmmmm

Gotta be multi-homed these days......
