now on to a couple of weeks on 70-272

I think it is pretty obvious what her secret is.

 

doing things always help, virtual machines taking machines apart, for this we did role plays and our trainer gave us a situation and we had to go through the whole dst role opening, closing logging and escalating calls

 

What is it that your implying rob?! Am i not good enough to be certified after ive worked my but off weeks to gain this cert?!

Becki, forgive me if you've answered this elsewhere... but how much real world IT experience do you have?

Look at it from his perspective, Becki. All he sees is that you are a self-professed former braindump user who is plowing through exams... three in a two week span. You must admit, that looks rather suspicious to someone who only knows you as a bunch of text on a screen. He doesn't see you working your butt off for weeks... because you're passing exams within days.

 

yeah but the thing is i am training FULL TIME, i have said this OVER and OVER i don't work yet so i have the time to learner it and practice it, and as i have said ive practiced and learned things over the past couple of weeks

im ploughing through exams because i have the time to learn it

It is my hope that you are truly taking enough time to fully digest the material... not just learn it so you can regurgitate it on an exam... but fully take the time to let the material soak in.

I see that you have the MCSA listed under your Works In Progress section. Understand that Microsoft recommends 6-12 months of real-world network administration experience (not 6-12 months in IT, but 6-12 months doing network administration) before attempting the MCSA.

I understand you're in a training program... but what do you expect this pile of certifications to accomplish for you?

Is it not a viable option for you to get even a part-time IT job right now to start building valuable real-world experience?

i have got a job with the council but i haven't started it yet, will be doing in a couple of weeks and starting my MCSA within a year, not straight away though maybe aftrer 8-9 months, but there isn't anything stopping me from reading the materials!

 

Yeah there is no harm in reading the material and its good that you are going to wait untill you get some experience under your belt.
