Hi all,

just sat 70-298 (Designing Security for a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network) and . . . . passed with 757. I had 34 questions, 5 testlets to be done in 2 hours.

I thought I'd done better than my score but what ya gonna do.

To prepare for this one, I was sent on the official MS course, 2830B with QA in June, and just recently had a skim over the big blue book you get on their courses.

This exam pretty much can ask you questions on anything you will have learnt doing your MCSE track.

Just 70-294 left for my MCSE: Security but since my bonus in April is secured, whats the rush. Might sit it 1st quarter next year so I can put it down as an achievement for 2010

I think I'll get stuck into the CEH DVD's work bought me and enjoy my week off next week Good times.

Glad to hear it. The beauty of IT is you can get promoted purely based on how good you are, not who's next in line like some professions. . . . or at least thats what I've found

 

Ha ha thats the old me I'll probably sit it Jan or Feb but I'm not in any rush now mate. Passing that today has made me feel like I've done most of the hard work now. The next 4 weeks I'm just going to watch my CEH DVD's, carry on learning C and 'experiment' with my home lab I might even get my routers and switches all set up ready to rock 2010
