Passed 294 today - yippppeee!!!!

Passed 70-294 a couple of hours ago with a mark of 715. Yes I know that's more of a just scraped through score than an aced it score but, as the good people on the forums never tire of saying, a pass is a pass

I had 42 questions, 3 of which were sims. (Info on the sims deleted)

I used the Sybex book, the Que Measureup exam cram, and the Ucertify practice tests. All good material, if you study hard enough you should be ok.

I've now done 270, 294, and Security+ (so 4 more till I'm an MCSE). Next is the 290. By the time you read this I will be playing with my new Server 2003 VM. One of the reasons I didn't do so well is because I wasn't able to practice doing very much of what is required, so I would highly recommend everyone to get a VM and practice everything that's covered.

Sorry to have to pop the balloons a bit... but that's a bit too much info on those sims. Didn't you sign a non-disclosure agreement when you took the exam?

Congrats oliness! I see you showed a little too much info with the sims - not to worry just remember your NDA you signed! What you can share with us is how you studied, What lab setup did you have? What labs did you run on? All this info you CAN share and im sure many people working towards this exam and MCSE would like to know - Thanks if you can help!

Well I didn't actually have a lab setup when I took this. That's why I didn't do so well, cos I hadn't practiced a lot of what was on the test. I am now setting up a VMware server 2003 lab.

Server 2003 installs ok (on a Vista host) but it breaks my wireless net connection. It's weird but certain websites (like facebook and google) just say "waiting for reply" while others like msn are fine. I've had to disable the vm network card for it to work (it happens no matter what kind of network connection I choose). Anyone have any idea how to fix this?
