I'm starting to brush up on the 290 now that things at work have calmed down. Does anyone reccomend the Sybex book? Also, what can I expect on the exam? Any surprises?

I dont know about the Sybex book, but I am using MS Press and Windows server 2003 inside out book. Both are great, full of information and practices.

For Microsoft exams, I typically recommend MSPress and Sybex.

Not to continually beat the same drum, the Microsoft Press book was really good. I used the series (70-290 to 70-294), and they all were written well and very understandable.

I didn't rate the MS Press 290 book to be honest. Not very readable but ok as a reference guide I guess.
