I thought i would let you know that Microsoft has officially stopped supporting Office 2003 through its licensing programs they have already phased out media kit orders and ISO downloads from eOpen and are soon to phase out offering keys as apart of the downgrade rights policy.

Still on Technet Plus, and supported until 2014. At least 80% of my nerdbuds still use it as the main Office suite in their workplace.

Yes it will probably remain on Technet, windows 3.1 is still on Technet, however, Technet isn't for production and unless you have the SA version your Technet plus version of 2003 will be retail media not VLK. VLKs don't work with retail media, I thought of that as i have technet.

What i am saying is if you buy licences now and wish to downgrade you wont be able to get any new media kits (or download ISOs) and they will be phasing out keys from eopen so if you haven got any keys you wont be able to get new.

Microsoft told me on the phone this morning as we are expanding and require extra licences for 2003 (and they lost the media kits) due to bespoke software. Apart from the media kits it shouldnt affect people they just need to be prepared.

Basically soon Microsoft wont fulfil 2003 requests at all via eopen, new licences will be 2010 with 2007 downgrade rights only.

Not debating or doubting any of that. Just putting the point of view across that Office 2003 is still supported - and will be for many years - simply because there's nothing wrong with it, and n00bs coming here might see your post and think that O2K3 is an old POS (it isn't) that needs retiring (it doesn't) :biggrin

What address, the address where you can get media kits, the address where you can get Technet, or something entirely different? Quoting the post you are responding to really helps to figure out what you're looking for.

I hope you are truly an EX-SEOer...

    Phoenix software

I got the disk yet it wouldn't accept the key from eopen, anyway in the end we decided to roll-out 2007.
