So I've decided the reason I can't get my wife's tablet PC on my workgroup is because the machine is just loaded down with junk and I want to do a clean install. The problem is it was bought from Gateway and did not come with an XP DVD. I have the product key but I do not have a copy of XP tablet edition laying around and know no one who does. How do I go about getting a disk or the files to create a disk so I can do a fresh install?

hmmm tablet PC ? do u mean a laptop ...!?

Nowadays, they do not give the XP DVD or Recovery CD anymore!
Instead, the laptop or PC has a "recovery data" preinstalled.. usually on D drive.

Either when booting up, you will get the option to log into it
or maybe its under All Programs... which then would allow you to reformat the drive, as if you bought it today!

Otherwise, there is a way to create your own XP CD based on the XP files u have on the pc/laptop!
Cant remember the website,.. which showed how to :(

    *maybe some1 knows
