Ok, I have had this for over a week now and I will be honest....In my opinion, this is a Masterpiece.

I have seen people moan about it being Boring, Repetitive, Samey...each to their own. I think its beautiful.

Yesterday, I spent 3 Hours on the same planet flying about learning languages, collecting stuff, then flew up into space and encountered a brilliant dog fight with a bunch of space pirates. I am going to make a start on my ICND 100-105 on the 1st Sept. This gives me another two weeks of playing NMS. Its going to be one of those games where you can sit and play for hours, or hop on, play for 30 Mins and go back to what you were doing.

Love it and certainly worth the wait

Whereas I do feel it's Boring, Repetative and Samey, like you I have spent a few hours playing it and it was entertaining but.... well it's just a grownup Minecraft really.

Waiting for a refund if I am honest with you.

 

Fair point, if we all liked the same stuff it would be really boring.

I maybe wrong but hasn't MineCraft "evolved" over time? I am really looking forward to seeing what they add in future updates.

 

I pre-ordered it, played it for 2 hours and got a refund from Steam

Some people have been very lucky from the beginning in upgrading their suit and ship etc.. one guy on twitch already had a 40 slot suit and was on the hunt for a 36 slot ship as he already had over 15m in credits..

 

Refunds for games??? Is this a PC thing or can it be done on console? Some games you get on demo now, however some games you dont.

I would have loved a refund for half the tripe I have paid for in the past

Anybody on here disappointed with "No Man's Sky" should take a look at "Elite: Dangerous" on PC as a possible alternative.

The ships have voice control and you can buy (third party) mod packs that give your ship's computer the voice of Tom Baker, William Shatner, Paul Darrow (Avon off of "Blakes 7") or Brian Blessed.

 

Wow I have not played elite since, well.... Amstrad CPC 464. Please say the Tom Baker voice mentions jelly babies or reversing the polarity, if so shut up and take my money!

 

So I have Elite: Dangerous, I have a HOTAS setup, I have Oculus Rift and not played more than 10 minutes of Elite as it's sooooooooooooo complicated.

Now Eve: Valkyre for the Rift is just nice, it's XBone controller based and nice and easy to play.

 

I am pretty much done with gaming been stung to many times.

I am loving just flying about upgrading stuff, having a dog fight then popping off to a planet for some resources and a quick chat with an Alien

Apparently, Hello Games are going to be making continuous updates as well, looking forward to that!

 

Me too. Finding it fun and looking forward to the updates and patches to see what else they will add.

 

I haven't played in over a week now, got my boy into it for a morning but he slipped back to Minecraft whilst I am LOVING Warcraft again atm.

I have updated to the latest Gog patch but still not 'getting' it as much as I would have liked.
