Hi, just wondering if I could have advice from any Nintendo fans please. I don't know if I should get my kids (8 and 5) a 3DS XL each or a Swich each for Christmas. Both look good to me but as we're going up to Scotland in January, a four hour drive for me, I'm leaning towards the 3DS as they appear to have the longer battery life. I've also heard the Switch is great but I'm not sure on how long it takes to charge, long I've heard. Lastly in the mix is my worry that the 3DSs days are numbered now that the Switch has come along. What do you think?

a switch each..wow lucky kids! yeah go with the switch, it can also be used as a portable device so they can take it with them on the go.. I honestly think the DS line is in decline.. I would check what games are out for the switch currently to ensure there is a library thats suitable for them (I'm sure there will be as Nintendo games are aimed at a younger audience IMO). I was going to get my son a switch but he seems to be more of an Xbox man and he already has an XB1 so will be getting him these lego dimension toys that some how you can use with the xbox. One thing I will mention, ensure you get all the warranty for accidental damage and buy all the protective gear for the console you can find.

Cheers Juelz you make two points there I haven't researched. The games, when I first checked the Switch didn't have many but I'm sure that won't be the case now, and protection/warrenty. I will look into both now
