nothing at the mo just about to start at the bottom with self-learning. It will be a total career change, as i have 2 young daughters and want to be able to bring them up as best as possible in todays world. Ive read alot of threads on forums and come across this one which is ace. Im looking to go down the mcse route.

Be aware that you shouldn't do an MCSE untill you have atleast 6 -12 months real experience, you should start with some entry level certs like compTIA A+ and work your way up.

Actually, it's at least one year of experience, and not just any experience - one year of experience implementing and administering networks for mid-to-large companies: link

Microsoft recommends 6-12 months of experience for the MCSA, so you probably got the MCSE recommendations confused with those for the MCSA.

    Welcome to the forum, MP!
