Josh and I started in our new roles as Senior Content Developers on Monday. Therefore, I am posting my obligatory E3D thread, holding true to CF tradition.

Unfortunately, there's not a lot of earth-shattering things to say. Josh and I have worked with most everyone here before, and we knew what sort of environment we were getting into. In fact, the commute's even the same as it used to be - we're working in the building next door to where we all worked together previously.

When we arrived, our computers were ready for us, and our user accounts were already activated. Obviously, we got a bunch of employment paperwork to fill out. After catching up with old friends, we got to work figuring out what work had been completed no each project, what was left to be done, what processes were already in place, and how those processes might possibly be improved. Lots of meetings to make sure everyone's on the same page before we get started with our first product.

Other than that, there's not much to tell. Everything's going well!

Almost all of my "housekeeping tasks" are done as well, except I'm waiting for a password for my phone so I can get in and record my greeting. Apparently, my phone still thinks it's owned by someone named "Shelly".

Amidst streamlining processes and training new writers and editors, Josh and I will be starting on the product we just wrote our book on: 70-620.

 

OK Shelly, thanks for that...

So far, amusing moniker wise in the past two weeks we've got 'Shelly' and 'Chewie'...
