Hello all,

After thinking it through for far too long, I've finally decided to embark on a long-overdue career change.

I must admit that I'm quite scared and feeling very vulnerable. I sometimes think I'm too old to change (close to being 40) and am just setting myself up to be disappointed.

I took a college course when I left school (Electronics Servicing) and although I passed the first year with a credit, I decided I needed to get some money coming in, and lured by the above-average earnings possible in the printing industry, I plunged head first into that. I have been there ever since.

My hobby/interest ever since being a small boy has been computers, and later on audio equipment. I would love to be able to work with computers but have never tried as I've always managed to convince myself I wasn't up to the mark. Maybe I was right, I don't know.

I've decided to put that theory to the test now in a make-or-break bid for greater job satisfaction and renewed interest in my career.

Not sure if that made sense but there you go.

As long as you are prepared to put in the work then age doesn't really matter.

Well he said Northants which is a big county. He may not yet have sampled the delights of Npton town centre and the St Peter's roundabout.

I know quite a few people who have changed careers and have never looked back. It's never too late mate. Good luck!
