We wait with baited breath .....

Let's hope it's not a con ! :p Last I saw they were saying just before Xmas was that RTD hadn't made his mind up yet.

Well to be honest ive never been a fan of this show but i did catch somethinf on tv the other day that made it a bit bearable. It was dr who at the pro,s and all the music was quite theatrical etc. Then that got me thinking, the daleks, when they were first introduced they looked the part but now as we have advanced they look somewhat outdated and i think they need a revamp.

Look at the design, knobbly bits with a big dodgem rubber ring at the bottom, and a plunger as a weapon?? I know that this is not reality that we are dealing with but some areas of realism would help. Plus ome of the graphics or computer imagery (spell check) needs to be tidied up as well.

For you die hard fans im not trying to offend you, merely that if the fictional stories were more believeable then id probably watch it, who knows

    Rant over

dunno, I've never heard of him, first impressions is he's too young, I am hoping that the next doctor may be a bit of a grumpy git but matt looks as if hes not going to be like that.

I think half the appeal of doctor who is the slightly iffy effects, its part of the shows charm I think.

    What a load of ****!!!!

I knew he was an outside bet for the part but I never thought for a minute he'd get it... I'd have sooner had Jennifer Saunders.

First thing my little lad said was 'I'm not getting the action figure of him".

If they think they're appealing to the younger age range, they're wrong, if they are trying to appeal to women then (from what my wife says) they're wrong, if they're trying to appeal to the older fan then they're wrong.

I assume they're trying to make Dr Who more late night BBC2 trendy...

    Great... not!

I think they are gonna go for winding it up in 2012. I bet you if that bloke gets an offer he'll bugger off then there'll be another regeneration and it'll probably be a woman who will leave when she gets preggers then there'll be one more and that'll be it.

Then the bbc will show repeats of Dr who for the next 75 years like Dads Army.

Call me cynical but I'm gonna bet on my idea :)

He was good in Ruby in the Smoke with Billie Piper.

I just hope he finds his own style.
Both the last two doctors have been very similar in terms of manic over-hyped excitement.

    Time will tell.

I am going to make my judgment when i have seen him in a few and he's in character.

Have seen him in a few things and I got the impression that he’s a very mature actor for his age.

I think he will suprise alot of people

I doubt it. I am a member of a forum about DRW and all sorts gets posted, we know for a fact that journalists use it. Members have fooled several into writing rubbish in national papers before now.
