Hi all,

Not been on for ages due to having my head in Network+ book; and am taking the exam on Wednesday this week. Nerves ahoy, am hoping to pass; but am being realistic. Wish me luck!

Sadly, I failed the N+ with a score of 484. There were a load of questions on NetWare which I was not expecting, and quite a lot on DHCP which I wasn't sure of either. Not to provide excuses, but one of my close relatives died the week before, so I don't think my head was all there anyway.

Moving on after feeling a bit low, I realised I needed a break from studying (I've been non-stop since Sept 06), so am taking a month off to live life a bit more

But retaking in October this year after a quick chat with my tutor; hopefully I'll pass next time.

I must say I appreciate the support these forums offer, for one thing you don't feel alone in failing one exam, but when you've actually failed and are walking back to your car, it feels like you're the only one.

Here, you feel like you're one of many who have tried and tried again (and again!).

Lots of questions on Netware I take it thats Novell netware, I used to love doing netware at Uni infact I passed the Network module with distinction but it was onlu setting up a network (bus topology) in a classroom and setting admin rights etc.

I still have some books and reference material on it, if you want some help PM me and I will try to help you.

 

You're certainly not the only one. I've failed several, myself, so never feel like you're alone. Most of us have failed at least one.

Unless you're devoid of any human emotions or something, you're going to have to let the grieving process occur. So your performance is COMPLETELY excusable given what happened in your life recently. I would accept your excuse. Take this time to spend with family and friends to go through the grieving process. I know how it can affect EVERYTHING you do, even menial daily tasks. Be easy on yourself.

Dont worry about it dude. You'll do pass next time around. At least now you know what it is like and you have the score sheet to see where you do bad and you can improve on that.

Yea I agree, forum rocks, never felt so welcome (or so quickly) to any other forum before

 

I think that ANYONE who is not a robot would probably have failed mate. Take some time for your family and to grieve. I'm sure you will pass next time when your mind is in the right place.
DON'T GIVE UP!!!
