    Hi,

What do you guys use or recommend for some software to use to design some network diagrams. I was thinking of using Visio but wondered if there was anything more specialised that was better?

Can buy it so don't need to use any freeware ones.

    Thanks,

I've only ever used visio with the cisco style icon add-on packs. Works ok'ish.

I love Edraw Max but use Visio in the work as we have a couple of other programs that generate the diagrams for us and they only work with Visio(only tried up to version 2007)

Visio yes, but im not a fan, nothing to do with the software, just the DFDs we did whilst at uni, its psychological lol. What about using packet tracers, im sure theres a bit of it that lets you print and also test your set up ???

    Looks like everyone uses Visio!

Can not use packet tracers due to the way we have mutplie reduant links it confuses the packet tracer and it jsut creates a massive spider web of links, if you know what I mean.

I use visio too, but I don't use any stencils in any of my diagrams, I prefer to use empty boxes and then enter details in the boxes regarding the devices.
