Need Help

I need a favor from the members of the forum. I think my PC got effected with the virus and the main symptom are that I can not see the pics in mail or on sites all other things are ok...and if i check the pics from any disk then it is okay....I can not understand if it is virus or any other problem...if the problem is virus then I have to install window again and I have data in outlook so I need advice on that as well , how can I save my data.

Your best bet is to take the machine to a specialist repairman. He/she will be able to diagnose what the problem is and repair the machine. A competent person can also make sure that you don't lose stuff.

If, on the other hand, you want us to help you do this yourself you will have to tell us much more detail.

What version of Windows? And which Service Pack?

What version of Outlook? Or is it Outlook Express?

What type of pictures are failing to display?

What viewer are you using when the pictures *do* display?

Which Web browser are you using, and which version?

Have you tried another browser?

My experience with viruses is that they usually have the opposite effect - popping up pictures that you *don't* want...

 

if you are using ie it could be set to not display pictures same with outlook to increase the speed pages are loaded.
