    Hello everyone,

I wanted to know if Mike Meyer N+ all in one study guide is the way to go to prepare for the exam. I just passed my 220-701 today using the A+ all in one by him, and found it to be useful.

Any other recommendations are welcome, in addtion i have a few more questions:

    1. How many exams to sit as the comptia site mentions two exam codes "Exam codes: N10-004 and JK0-016 ".
    2. Best way to prepare for the exam, is the Mike Meyers Network simulator good enough?
    3. How hard is the exam in comparison to A+
    4. What is the retake policy (if there is one)

    Thanks.

    Rgds,

    H

You need to take only one exam, probably N10-004. The JK0 exam is for training courses, I believe.

Everyone is different. The book might be enough for you. Others might need more, such as multiple books, a class, a video, or practice exams.

That entirely depends on you. Some people find the A+ to be more difficult because they are not as familiar with basic PC troubleshooting. Some people find Network+ to be more difficult because they are weak with networking.

Always, always, always get this sort of information directly from the vendor, as these policies could change at any time: link

I have found the CBT Nuggets Training Videos both informative and funny for my A+ and Network+ studying. Use these in tandem with the Meyers books and you will be fine!

    2) Have a look at Professor Messer's free Network+ videos.

    3) I found the N+ a lot easier. It could be a combination of factors though: I had refined my study methods during my A+ study, I've done a fair bit of binary in my life, the small amount of information that had to be learned by "brute memory" (compared to the seemingly hundreds of items in the A+) and the very similar troubleshooting steps to that of my previous career.
As BM said, everyone is different.
