How many operating systems can you have on one HD?

Let's say you have a 200GB IDE HD and you use Partition Magic to partition the drive creating Primary and logical drives.

    Q) is it possible to set one as FAT16, another as FAT32 and another as NTFS?

I know you can do Dual Booting and I have ask this question in the past about windows OS with Linux, but what if I wanted to put Win95, Win98 and Winxp on one HD?

    Would this be possible?:blink

I assume this is for your A+ os preperation, just remember the restrictions of viewing the different partitions using the different formats, wouldn't worry too much about w95 though you just need to know about possible upgrades or FAT16 spec really.

Just to add to whats been said, remember to install the oldest OS first, so it would be 95, 98, XP. I got loads on 95 and NT in my exam, just my luck, when they were the ones i studied the least.:)

Good point, I knew I'd forgotten something. When I done my OS exam, there was nothing on W95, mostly NT, 98 AND XP.

Thanks Raffaz, got another problem, I went to load my OEM copy of Win95 and then remembered the product key is stuck to old Laptop that I binned ages ago because the screen was cracked!

I have also got a Win95 upgrade disc from Win 3.11 but can't find my Win 3.11 disks:( Gutted!

In the Passport book of A+ it states Win95 is not covered in the exam?? Then in one of the chapters it asks what is the minimum spec for win95? Also it states NT 4.0 was based on the Win95 Desktop!

Looks like I am going to have buy Win95 CD from Ebay8)
