I just download some sample chapters of the *new* MS Press books and compared those chapters to m 1st edtion set. From 290 chapter 5 is the same and from 293 chapter 1 is the same. Whats the difference between the books? Im about to dive into 291 in the coming weeks and have the 1st edtion book nicely waiting to be ripped open and read but am i going to be missing stuff (i doubt it because no MS Press guide makes you really ready for the exam)?

Trip or anyone else who has the insides into publishing tell me i got nothing to worry about!

Chances are zimbo that there will not be a lot of changes. What will be corrected are the errata from the 1st edition, but if you look on the web you can find the errata anyway.

 

so its more of a marketing gimic that R2 came out so lets get some new books out?
