MS allow XP to continue to be sold on low spec PCs

    MS have announced that, as with laptops, XP can still be sold on low spec PCs until June 2010. See here for the full story.

    That said, even if they didn't offer XP installed by default, I'd likely take them up on their Vista OEM downgrade rights anyway. ;)

    XP is a bloody good OS, sure there are other things out there, I use Vista on my main machine. But XP is a safe bet, stable, fairly light. No need to phase it out just for the sake of it. If customers want to buy it, keep selling it. Good move by Microsoft.

    I'm not a Vista hater infact I have never used it. I have no need, XP does what I want it to, it good for gaming and isn't dodgy. I have XP pro SP3 and it works fine, I did have an issue a couple of week ago with thing running slowly with SP3 so I uninstalled it but now have reinstalled and it's great.

    Sorry mate, was meant in jest. I agree, XP is a very good OS. My laptop won't run Vista so its XP all the way on there. 8)
