    Microsoft patch causes IE headache

SOFTWARE GIANT Microsoft’s August 8 security patch has a nasty habit of causing Internet Explorer to crash.
You can understand why people installed the MS06-042 update, after all it was rated as "critical" by Volish security experts.
But, according to the Vole’s customer support site, the problem affects Internet Exploder 6 with Service Pack 1 on Windows XP and Windows 2000 systems. If a user looks at a version 1.1 of HTTP alongside compression, the browser will crash.
PeopleSoft applications that have Web-based interfaces have also had a few problems. Vole’s CRM tools don’t like the patch much either.
Microsoft plans to have a go at releasing another patch on August 22 for all affected users.

Hmmm, I think my main PC has been subject to this buggy update. Since the last critical update it's intermittantly crashing. Wouldn't it be nice if the updates fixed problems rather than creating new ones
