I was interested to read in the news that MI6 are now being much less secretive in their recruitment practices, and have even now placed an advert on Facebook. Out of curiousity I had a look at their web-site and tried out their 'Operational Officer' Challenge (I think this means 'spy' basically, or along the lines of James Bond) :-

    http://www.sis.gov.uk/output/self-selection-tool.html

Its quite good fun to try. I got score of 8 - and they say I could have the kind of qualities they're looking for :blink

(Or maybe working/studying IT improves the memory ?)

Any budding James Bond's out there - what score did you get?

Well its an interesting test to try out. I was surprised I got 8. I was told when at school I had a 'photographic memory' - not sure if that's true, but if trying to memorize there are various tricks to try, eg remember the first letters - eg. if somebody studied physics, biology, and chemistry at A Level then just memorize only the first letters ie 'PBC' - then the grades as a pattern also - eg 'ABB'. I'm sure though that the real tests will be a lot harder than this one.

I scored 7, stumbled on the company question, the other 7 were easy almost instant answers. Got to the company one and had to take a guess lol. That said I could never do the job because im a terrible liar.
