MCSE: final stage!

    Ok, just completed the Transcender exam and scored well so I guess now is a good time to book the 70-297, arrgh!!! :biggrin

    Obviously there is more pressure for this exam as it’s the last one I need for the MCSE, it doesn’t help that the format of this exam is different from the exams I have taken so far.

    Question to all the MCSE people: Did you treat the exam as just another exam or was there more pressure. Obvious answer probably but it does have an extra edge knowing that *finally* you get to put MCSE on your CV. 8)

    Cheers mate, didnt think I would make it this far back when I was doing the 70-291 (the beast!). Hope I get the MCSE out of the way before Xmas, thats the plan anyways.

    To answer your question Sparky, my last exam was Exchange 2K and after failing it first time, I was determined to pass it 2nd time round. So yes, I did put more pressure on myself to pass. Hehe I was well beered up afterwards though.

    We didn't have design exams in the "ancient days". :biggrin

    The first design exam I took was very different. Being able to read through the case studies and filter through the information to sift for "golden nuggets" takes practice. If you've gone through the Transcenders, then you've practiced doing this sort of thing already.

    All that said... if you understand the concepts, you should do well, just like any other exam. :)

    Good luck mate, let us know how you get on. As for me, there was some pressure on the last exam for the MCSE 2k. BUt it was because I wanted to pass the exam so that I could have a break from studying at that point before doing the upgrades. So from my point of view it was from "exhaustion" rather than anything else :)

    Well my last exam was ISA 2000 and it was a bear and a half. All i read all over the Internet was how people were failing it time and time again. I didn't want to fail the damn thing so i did put a mamouth amount of effort into passing it. A year of study for one exam to be precise. I built ISA servers over and over again, broke them fixed them lived and breathed them.

    I passed comfortably first time and still remember most of the stuff i read.

    Good luck, you will be fine mate and oh what a feeling when you do finally pass.

    Jeez MCSE is a long haul and not for the faint of heart.

    I did the 70-291 back in December, that has been the hardest exam so far IMO.
