I am Studying Networking for the MCP Exam 70-270: Installing, configuring, and Administering MS Windows XP Professional with Computeach, and have submitted the Mock Exam on four occasions and have only managed to attain 70% so far.
I would appreciate any commments or ideas that may help me to improve my marks.
I find it difficult to accertain where I am going wrong as one does not receive any feed back on which Questions were answered correctly.

Firstly, a warm welcome to the Boards Allan - thanks for joining us :)

As far as I'm led to believe, these mocks are based on test material for the Transcender exams, which are fairly widely accepted as being the most accurate test exams available. So, in essence, if your scoring in the 70% mark, I wouldn't be too disheartened. Just dont be lulled into thinking your scoring so well after sitting the same or similar mocks several times over. The key point is to make sure you actually KNOW the subject matter in hand. Then, you will be ready for the real thing.

    HTH :)

When you say Mock I take it your with a training provider? The only tips I can give you is to maybe buy another book if your only revising from one. This is because no book covers all the objectives as Authors may miss things out so it's good to get another prospective on the subject I bought two books for this exam as the MCSE is another step up from what I've previously done where I only used one book to learn from and my experience. Maybe a book like the exam cram or Mike Myers Passport would be a good choice for last minute revision which is what these books are designed for. Also try to identify your weak points that you know of and improve on them through making notes and hands on experience. I'm sure others will post some advice as well.

Hello Allen.I too am with computeach, currently A+.Are you aware that you can E-Mail the tutors with upto 5 questions a day?,giving your reasoning for the answers you have chosen, and your reasoning on the wrong answers.
They will then point you in the right direction with where your going wrong.
Havent used this myself yet but students that have recommend this option.
    HTH.
    best of luck Martyn :D
