Sat and passed the 70-417 Upgrading your skills test the other day to gain MCSA Windows 2012 and cover all the base certs for the most (all?) of the MCSE certs
aiming for Server Infrastructure, Private Cloud and Messaging by the summer

its a fairly standard upgrade test, remember you are tested on each individual section, for the 08 one a fail in any section was a fail overall, so be prepared!

Congratulations on the pass. Not posted on here for a while but I passed my 70-647 today which was the final exam i needed for MCITP: Enterprise Administrator. Similar to the old MCSE 2003 but for 2008 as i understand it although not quite the same . Will probably be looking to upgrade to 2012 at some point if i can bear the pain of any more studying lol. Probably best though as we have been installing 2012 server since it went on sale. Out of curiosity did you just need to do the 1 exam to upgrade from 2008 to 2012 MCSA or are there more? MS cert planner is a little confusing.

yes only 1 exam. To quote from the MS Learning site...

And it's my next planned exam after 70-686.
